The Camera.

The Camera 



Lens: captures the light from the object and brings it to focus on the film or detector.

Single-lens reflex cameras : lets the photographer choose the focus and composition visually using the objective lens and a moving mirror to project the image onto a ground glass or plastic micro-prism screen.

Sheet film: film cut into sheets of different sizes for individual exposure for different cameras.

Telephoto: lens used for large images of a far object.

Aperture: hole where light enters a camera 

Shutter: a sliding cover on a camera that lets in light

Exposure: amount of light to a photo

Depth of field: camera lens which an object will produce a relatively distinct image

F-stop: setting of an adjustable lens 

Focal length: distance of a focal point of a lens to the principal plane.
