PEOPLE, April 11, 2011: "Elizabeth Taylor: Farewell to a Legend"
(Photograph by Philippe Halsman)
Time and again, readers turn to People for our take on the defining moments in pop culture—and this year, a major story was the death of one of the greatest movie stars of all time, Elizabeth Taylor. The iconic shot selected for the cover from the archives of famed photographer Philippe Halsman, taken when Taylor was just 16 years old, reminded fans of the beauty and grace that would often become overshadowed by her much-documented, tumultuous personal life. With few words needed, this People cover provided a truly worthy farewell to a legend.
This is a really good portrait of Elizabeth Taylor, it shows her at her prime when she was young as a tribute to her life and death. This portrait is Formal and it is easy to look at because the background is plain gray. The red lips is great because is helps us focus on her face which is the focal point where the photographer wants us to look at. the lighting is good to because its brightest at her face where were suppose to look at and gets darker at the bottom where its less important. Over all this is a Great Portrait.

2012 in Review
Best song: Thinking about you - Frank Ocean This was my favorite song because it was very catchy and personal. I still listen to it now and so many people made remixes on the song because its so good.
I chose this movie because i love the twilight saga, and this movie was the perfect ending to the movies. what attracted me was the big scene it created and i have seen all the other four before it. It was the best of 2012 to me because I saw it there times in theaters.
I chose the presidential election as the most important news story because it decides who is gonna be the president of our country. What attracted me was the whole county was talking about it and it was huge. This is the most important because he will be our president for the next 4 years.
For the holidays I spent new years with my boyfriend, my resolution is to be the best i can be, I'm looking forward to good times with my fiends and family.
